Dahi vada are soft lentil fritters soaked in creamy yogurt. Dahi means yogurt and vada are deep fried fritters. It is usually topped with tangy chutney and garnished with masala.
Raita is a condiment in South Asian cuisine made of dahi together with raw or cooked vegetables, more seldom fruit, or in the case of boondi raita, with fried droplets of batter made from besan.
Recipe : It is a blend of various fragrant spices, which are roasted and then ground for use in various kind of Raita (finely chopped salad vegetables mixed with beaten natural yoghurt), Dahi Vada / Bhalla (fried lentil dumplings, soaked in water and mixed in natural yoghurt dressed with ginger shreds and tamarind sweat Chutney). Sprinkle a tspn of MDH Dahivada Raita Masala, salt, per serving and mix well.
